Responsibilities

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for processing and maintenance activities of credit and debit card programs and services.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Reviews and processes numerous reports in order to maintain the integrity of the card portfolio (including reject and exception reports).
  • Maintains/Monitors credit, debit, and ATM cards including inventory control, ordering, replacement of lost and stolen cards, and restricting card usage.
  • Compiles, verifies and files records and forms to control issuing, blocking, or renewal of credit, debit, and ATM cards.
  • Reviews/Monitors new fraud claims to avoid unnecessary losses (requiring contacting member to confirm validity of claim).
  • Provides assistance/guidance to team members on systems and processes involved with credit and debit card processing and service including researching transaction declines, card issuance, and the rewards program.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve member inquiries to ensure timely problem-resolution.
  • Escalates defects, improvement ideas, and/or issues identified with the processes, workflows and systems.
  • Disburses credit card applications and increases.
  • Works with card vendor to resolve card issues (including but not limited to transaction inquiries, resolution of member concerns, system processes, etc.).
  • Ensures compliance with card rules and regulations.
  • Supports new technology initiatives/implementations.
  • Ability to perform functions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 

  • Experience with credit card programs preferred.
  • High school diploma and 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Consistently maintain professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to team members and members of the organization.
  • Ability to operate PC, including input, output, and inquiry to member accounts and other account information required in the member service function.                                                                                                
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including proficiency in all spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the differences in a basic number of products and services offered by other financial institutions to those offered by the credit union.
